Drof Design has been influential in the refurbishment and contemporary transformation throughout this dual level home. Upon approach it is the external, fine steel windows on both ground and upper levels that catch your eye. Entry through the oversized, customised pivot hung front door creates a sense of luxury through sheer scale and ease of opening.
A beautifully crafted internal steel paneled glass sliding door delineates the formal lounge from the rear living area. The concealed top hung cavity sliding door complete with a grey glaze adds to the high end chic mood of this home.
Located at the rear of the home is an impressive expanse of five meter bi-fold fine steel doors that create an abundance of natural light and a sense of spaciousness. The double glazed doors were custom made according to the owners requirements; to be able to allow a breeze flow through the house without having to open up all of the doors.
Drof Design individually fabricated the bi-fold doors to house awning windows within the steel door frame, thusly creating an awning window within the door and completed with unique hand forged window stays. Another personal feature of the brief was the integration of a doggy door that was added post installation.
The upstairs main bedroom window is a steel frame consisting of two opening sections, one of which is an awning and the other a casement a unique resolution to varying weather conditions complete with hand forged stays.
The owners (and their two terriers) were more than pleased with their Drof Design doors and windows.
